About Me

Robert Wallner, LSSBB, LBC

Bob graduated from Westfield State University in 1993 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration concentrating in Marketing.

From 1993 to 2006 the bulk of Bob’s career revolved around Supply Chain and Production Control Management in the plastics, medical and aerospace industries. In 2002 Bob obtained his CPIM Certification from APICS. In 2003 Bob attended a seminar that changed his life. The seminar revolved around this crazy concept called “Lean”! Bob returned to his company and shared his excitement with his boss who promptly informed him, “It’s a fad. We do Business Process Re-engineering and have for 20 years.”

After leaving that company in 2004, Bob had his first opportunity to experience a 5-Day rapid improvement event. He was hooked. In 2006 Bob left a high level supply chain job to take a position as a Lean Facilitator for two divisions within a multinational tooling manufacturer. Cutting his teeth in a challenging union environment, Bob learned the power of going and seeing on the floor, respecting people and their ideas and true daily kaizen. In this role, Bob also learned first hand the power of integrating Dr. Goldratt’s TOC with Lean to drive even better results than Lean alone. Today, Bob continues his daily education by constantly reading, listening to podcast, blogging and watching videos. In 2015 Bob earned his Lean Bronze Certification (LBC) and in 2016 obtained his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Bob lives in Western Massachusetts with his wife Jen. He has 2 children and 2 step children.
